by Marjorie C. Lundstrom
From my window I can see
The most unusual scenery;
But not a single spear of grass - nor a tree
The tons of stone and steel and glass amazes me!
Oh buildings, with your thousand eyes,
Reaching high into the skies;
You cost a fortune to erect - and many lives.
The concrete dream of architect and business enterprise!
